How To Make Your Website Your Top Tool For Converting Business

Keeping your website up to date with changes in how consumers are searching and navigating the internet can help you move ahead of your competitors. Take a look at four of the most important features of an effective real estate web site and make some changes in 2014.

1. Conversion-friendly
This is #1 by far. Why? Because you only get paid on conversions! It doesn’t matter how many visitors your site gets if you don’t convert them into clients. But more than anything, your website is usually your conversion point. The single most important thing your website can do for you is CONVERT those who visit into sellers, buyers or referrals. Statistically we know most consumers will visit at least 3 real estate related websites before contacting an agent. Make sure your website has plenty of powerful calls to action to encourage them to take the next step.

Reality TV Shows vs. Reality in the Real Estate World

Reality TV shows can be fun and entertaining. Unfortunately, when it comes to the “real world” of buying real estate, most reality TV shows are anything but “real.” These shows can set some very unrealistic expectations from buyers.
For example on many reality shows buyers only look at 3 homes before making a decision. Can you remember the last time you had a buyer find their dream home that easily? To help give clients a more realistic expectation a local real estate brokerage in Park City, Utah, created an infographic to show these differences and help make real estate "real" again.
